‘Inside Churchill Downs’ Radio Show Returns This Friday

“Inside Churchill Downs” will begin its eighth season on ESPN Louisville's ESPN 680/105.7 when it returns to the airwaves for a 34-week run Friday at 6 p.m. (all times Eastern).

The weekly one-hour, commercial free, horse racing radio show will be co-hosted by Churchill Downs Racetrack's Darren Rogers and Kevin Kerstein with TwinSpires.com handicapper Scott Shapiro.

Each week the program will deliver a wide-ranging list of interesting guests from jockeys, trainers, well-informed handicappers and other industry experts.

Friday's show will feature veteran journalist Jay Privman, a member of the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame's Joe Hirsch Media Roll of Honor, for analysis of the Road to the Kentucky Derby.

Those outside the Louisville radio market can listen live online at www.espnlouisville.com or via podcast on the station's website.

Churchill Downs Racetrack (“CDRT”), the world's most legendary racetrack, has been the home of The Kentucky Derby, the longest continually held annual sporting event in the United States, since 1875. Located in Louisville, CDRT features a series of themed race days during Derby Week, including the Kentucky Oaks, and conducts Thoroughbred horse racing during three race meets in the Spring, September, and the Fall. CDRT is located on 175 acres and has a one-mile dirt track, a 7/8-mile turf track, a stabling area, and provides seating for approximately 60,000 guests. The saddling paddock and the stable area has barns sufficient to accommodate 1,400 horses and a 114-room dormitory for backstretch personnel. CDRT also has a year-round simulcast wagering facility. www.ChurchillDowns.com.
