Santa Anita’s 19-Day Autumn Meet Opens Friday With First Post Time At 1 P.M.

Santa Anita's 19-day Autumn Meet will get underway on Friday, with first post time for a nine-race card at 1 p.m. PT and the track will also offer free admission and parking along with $3 beers and $5 margaritas. The Autumn Meet will be highlighted by the 40th running of the Breeders' Cup World Championships on Nov. 3 & 4 as Santa Anita will host the equivalent of racing's Super Bowl for a record 11th time.

The Grade 3, $100,000 Chillingworth Stakes, for fillies and mares three and up at 6 ½ furlongs, will serve as Friday's main event and will keynote a total of nine stakes over opening weekend—most of which have Breeders' Cup implications.
