Awesome Feather set for 2011 debut next week
Undefeated juvenile Awesome Feather will make her first start as a three-year-old in an overnight stakes Wednesday October 5 at Belmont Park. The daughter of Awesome of Course hasn't started since winning the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies last November at Churchill Downs.
“She doing very well,” trainer Chad Brown tells the Blood-Horse. “We’ve taken our time and kept a close eye on her from the time we started. We really had no timetable (for her return); we just let her heal and recover and gradually increased her training over the course of the summer. We didn’t push it."
