Three Chimneys stallion Lewis Michael (Rahy - Justenuffheart, by Broad Brush) was represented by his first winner, Fab Flowers, today at Arlington Park.

A filly out of the Dixieland Band mare J D Flowers, Fab Flowers won the fifth race at Arlington, a four and a half furlong maiden event with a claiming tag of $40,000-$30,000. The filly raced on or near the pace for much of the race, pulling away near the top of the stretch to win by 2-3/4 lengths. Trained by Joel Berndt, the Illinois-bred filly is owned by Steve Feiger and was bred by F & F Investments.

Lewis Michael, a full brother to Eclipse Champion Juvenile Filly Dreaming of Anna, was a regular campaigner at Arlington Park. Trained by Wayne Catalano, Lewis Michael was a stakes performer from age two through age five, with his biggest wins coming in the Washington Park Handicap (G2) and the Pat O'Brien (G2), both of which were track record-setting performances.

The son of successful international sire Rahy, Lewis Michael retired sound and went to stud at Three Chimneys Farm at the end of his five-year-old season.  His 2012 stud fee is $3,000.
