Bodemeister, Paynter heading east for late summer campaign
Two of Bob Baffert's stable stars will be heading east to resume their 3-year-old campaigns, the trainer told the Daily Racing Form Saturday.
Bodemeister, who was second to I'll Have Another in both the Kentucky Derby (gr. I) and Preakness Stakes (gr. I), will make his next start in the Haskell Invitational (gr. I) July 29. Paynter, who took the runner-up spot to Union Rags in the Belmont Stakes (gr. I), will run twice at Saratoga...in both the Jim Dandy (gr. II) July 28, and the Travers Stakes (gr. I) one month later.
