Claiborne Farm: Blame Set for $20,000 Fee in 2015

Eclipse Champion Blame (Arch – Liable, by Seeking the Gold) will stand for $20,000 live foal stands and nurses in 2015, according to Claiborne Farm.

In his first crop of 2-year-olds this year, Blame has had 75% win or place.  He has 6 winners and 12 placed from 24 starters, including a TDN Rising Star and a graded stakes horse.

The three-time G1 stakes winner is the leading first-crop sales sire in his crop by weanlings, yearlings, and 2-year-olds.

Claiborne stallion Algorithms, whose first foals will be yearlings next year, will stand for $5,000 live foal stands and nurses in 2015.

“This is Algorithms’ third year which traditionally is a hard year for a stallion,” said Claiborne Farms’ Bernie Sams. “It’s a competitive market, and Claiborne is committed to setting reasonable fees in order to accommodate the breeders, so it made sense to make this adjustment.”

Undefeated winner of the Holy Bull S.-G3, Algorithms, by Bernardini,  is a half-brother to three graded stakes winners.  His first weanlings included individuals that sold for $95,000 and $60,000.
