Del Mar Thanksgiving Fun Run To Benefit Local Therapeutic Riding Program
On Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 27, Del Mar will host the inaugural Family Mile Fun Run, with a portion of the proceeds going to the therapeutic riding program at the Helen Woodward Animal Center, just a few miles up the road from the track.
According to the Encinitas Advocate, Fun Run participants will receive a t-shirt and racetrack admission. In addition, many Del Mar jockeys will join the runners on the track. Other activities geared toward children include face-painting and craft-making, as well as entertainers and drawings.
Fun Run entry fees are $25 for adults 16 and up and $10 for children ages 4-15. Parking will be free.
