Emulous completes hat trick with Matron victory
Three-time Group 3-winning filly Emulous completed a hat trick following wins at the Curragh and Fairyhouse, giving trainer Dermot Weld his second victory in the Coolmore Fusaichi Pegasus Matron Stakes (Group 1) since the race was switched to Leopardstown in 2002, according to the Racing Post.
Weld said: "She's very consistent. We've picked the races for her and she's won three Group 3s, but I always thought she was capable of winning a Group 1. She's progressive and got a lovely ride from Pat."
