Gulfstream: $250,000 Guaranteed Jackpot For Thursday's Rainbow 6; Longshots Fuel $55,322 Payout For Five Winners On Sunday
There were no tickets with six winners in Sunday’s 20-cent Rainbow 6 at Gulfstream Park in Hallandale Beach, Fla., resulting in a guaranteed pool of $250,000 when racing resumes Thursday.
Tickets with five of six winners returned $55,322.42.
The sequence kicked off with the sixth race, won by 14-1 longshot Sublime Appeal ($30.20). The seventh race winner, Etana ($31.60) was also 14-1. American Ninja ($21.60) won the eighth race and Peter Brant’s Brewmeister ($34.80) took the ninth. It wasn’t until Morning Stride ($7) won the 10th race, the $50,000 Richard Henry Lee, that a winner paid under $10. The Rainbow 6 concluded with Siesta Moon ($2 ) winning the 11th race.

There was $197,626 bet Sunday into the Rainbow 6.
The Late Pick 5 returned $72,230.10.
The carryover jackpot is only paid out when there is a single unique ticket sold with all six winners. On days when there is no unique ticket, 70 percent of that day’s pool goes back to those bettors holding tickets with the most winners, while 30 percent is carried over to the jackpot pool.
First race post time Thursday is noon. There will also be a Super Hi 5 carryover of $3,238.93.
