Castellano Chooses City Of Light Over Audible For Pegasus Mount

City of Light wins the Breeders’ Cup Dirt Mile under Javier Castellano

Hall of Fame jockey Javier Castellano has officially decided to ride Breeders' Cup Dirt Mile winner City of Light instead of Audible in the upcoming Pegasus World Cup, according to drf.com. That leaves Audible, trained by Todd Pletcher, open for a new rider. No decisions had been made as of Friday afternoon.

The remainder of the Pegasus World Cup field, listed with jockeys, is expected to be as follows: Accelerate, Joel Rosario; Bravazo, Luis Saez; City of Light, Castellano; Gunnevera, Irad Ortiz Jr.; Kukulkan, Frankie Dettori; Patternrecognition, Jose Ortiz; Seeking the Soul, John Velazquez; Something Awesome, Edgar Prado; Tom's d'Etat, Shaun Bridgmohan; and True Timber, Joe Bravo.

A 12th possible entrant for the Pegasus would be the Bob Baffert-trained McKinzie with Mike Smith in the irons.
