Carolyn Conley named to new post at HRTV

HRTV (R) has named television personality Carolyn Conley to the newly-created position of Director of Brand Management for the network.  In her new role, Carolyn will be responsible for promoting HRTV and its various services to members of the racing and equestrian communities.

Ms. Conley will maintain her on-air presence as a host for HRTV, while working to increase consumer demand for the network.  She will also focus on increasing subscriptions to HRTV’s on-line and affiliated RTN offerings.

“Carolyn’s longtime presence as an on-air host for HRTV, and her enthusiasm for both racing and equestrian television, make her ideally suited to this position,” said HRTV President Scott Daruty.  “Through her extensive experience in the horse world, we look forward to her increasing consumer awareness and demand for our products.”

“I am excited to bring HRTV’s product to the forefront of equestrian sports coverage,” Conley said.  “The time is right for HRTV to become a household name in sports television, and in my new role I will be working to make that a reality.”

Ms. Conley served as the long time host of the popular morning show “Race Day America” for HRTV.  She also wrote, produced, and narrated “The Lost Years,” a documentary detailing the use of Santa Anita Park during World War II.

Conley lends her voice to many of the features on the Emmy Award-winning HRTV program, “Inside Information.”  She has also served as a reporter for the network, and was a key member of the Eclipse Award-winning Santa Anita Park Broadcast team.

Carolyn showed hunters, jumpers, and three-day event horses as a child, and went on to exercise racehorses for Hall of Fame trainers Charlie Whittingham, Bobby Frankel, D. Wayne Lukas and Richard Mandella.
