Fair Grounds: A proposal in the paddock!
The 9th race at Fair Grounds Wednesday was especially "engaging" in the end. Following the race, assistant trainer Will Werner proposed to jockey Anna Roberts, who had just ridden Northern Chill, trained by the Ronny Werner Racing Stable.
As the photo reveals, Anna said yes to Will. The couple has been dating for about a year. Werner is from Grandbury, Texas while Roberts is a native of the Northshore in Louisiana and lives in New Orleans.
