Queen's Plate field drops to 14 with defection of Prince Raphael

Prince Raphael suffered an injury in a regular workout on Sunday and has been withdrawn from consideration for Sunday's Queen's Plate, reports the Daily Racing Form.  Trainer Debbie England did not specify the nature of the injury but said it would not require surgery.

River Rush and Strait of Dover are expected to vie for favoritism when entries are taken on Thursday for the 1 1/4-mile race for Canadian-bred 3-year-olds.
