‘American Pharoah Way’: Lexington Road To Be Renamed In Honor Of Triple Crown Winner

American Pharoah (Pioneerof the Nile) and jockey Victor Espinoza win the Haskell Invitational (Gr I) at Monmouth Park.

Drivers in the Lexington area will soon have a new road to travel upon after it was announced that 2017 Triple Crown winner American Pharoah will have a stretch of road renamed in his honor.

The Lexington Herald-Leader reports section of U.S. 60 in Fayette and Woodford Counties will be renamed 'American Pharoah Way'. A ceremony is scheduled for Wednesday afternoon from 1-3 p.m. at the Kentucky Horse Park.

American Pharoah Way will join the likes of Sir Barton Way, Citation Boulevard, War Admiral Way, and Affirmed Court as Lexington roadways named in honor of Triple Crown winners.
