According to a report in the Daily Racing Form, the OTBs, which negotiate collectively for signals, notified Churchill officials last week that they would exercise an opt-out clause in their existing contract. The OTBs pulled the Churchill signals on Friday. Mike Kane, the president of Western OTB told the Form that the corporations objected to the price Churchill charged for the signals. The discontinued signals include Arlington Park, Hoosier Park, and the Meadows. Should the dispute not be resolved, it could also include Churchill Downs and Fair Grounds later this year.
