Hollywood Park: Estimated 2.4% drop in handle, attendance down 10% by Paulick Report Staff|07.18.201110.17.2011|2:29pm1:31pm Hollywood Park estimates a 2.4 percent drop in all-sources handle for the spring-summer meet that ended Sunday. Track president Jack Liebau reports that out-of-state handle was down around five to six percent, while Southern California's simulcasting handle fell less than a percent. “We did really well in California, relatively speaking,” Liebau tells the Daily Racing Form. On-track attendance declined 10 percent – not surprising, says Liebau, since Zenyatta was a big draw at the 2010 spring-summer meeting.
