We're looking at hopefully 2022,” Ritvo said. The Stronach Group COO also said a critical part of the plan would be turning the old Bowie racetrack into a world-class training facility. Maryland Thoroughbred Horseman's Association lobbyist Bob Enten told the committee having more race days during the year was a top priority. He suggested 220 days. Panelists praised the partnership between breeders, horsemen and racetracks that has led to an upswing in several metrics for the Maryland racing industry.
