Australian Trainer Riley Banned Three Years For TCO2 Level

Australian trainer Mark Riley has been banned for three years following a high TCO2 test on his runner, Gold For Kev.

Officials say Riley has one week to arrange for the transfer of his horses from his Mornington barn, as the ban takes place immediately. Riley trains Grade 1 Blue Diamond Stakes contender Of The Brave. The horse's owners have been told their entry can still be accepted without a trainer, but they will need to make application for a new one before the weekend's race.

Riley is appealing the decision, and will request a stay until the appeal is complete.
