‘Don’t See Why We Can’t Beat Him Again’: Guerrero Confident Spun To Run Can Defeat Omaha Beach by Paulick Report Staff|01.13.202001.13.2020|5:30pm9:53pm Spun to Run breezes at Palm Meadows on Jan. 13 Trainer Juan Carlos Guerrero is enjoying the lead-up to the Pegasus World Cup with contender Spun to Run, he told drf.com, even though Omaha Beach, who Spun to Run defeated in the Breeders' Cup Dirt Mile, is getting the majority of the media coverage. “Sometimes the less attention the better,” Guerrero told drf.com. “We don't mind being behind the scenes and letting Omaha Beach get all the publicity. We beat him before in California, and I'm very confident and don't see why we can't beat him again.” Spun to Run, a 4-year-old son of Hard Spun, has been working successfully without Lasix at Palm Meadows in preparation for the conditions of this year's Pegasus. This Monday, however, Guerrero gave the colt the medication before his five-furlong breeze in 1:03.20. “I worked him with Lasix today just to make sure everything was perfect,” Guerrero explained.
