Goldencents Targeting Cigar Mile
Goldencents, dominating winner of the Grade 1 Breeders' Cup Dirt Mile, will start in the G1 Cigar Mile at Aqueduct Nov. 30. Connections hope that a winning performance will earn the son of Into Mischief an Eclipse Award as champion 3-year-old colt.
Owner Glenn Sorgenstein told the Daily Racing Form this week that he partner Josh Kaplan have bought out partners Rick Pitino and Dave Kenney after the colt's successful start in the Breeders' Cup.
Sorgenstein told the DRF that he hopes a victory in New York would help Goldencents' shot at a year-end title.
