Stay Thirsty, Uncle Mo work 5f Sunday at Belmont
Travers Stakes winner Stay Thirsty and 2010 two-year-old champion Uncle Mo both worked five furlongs Sunday morning for Todd Pletcher over Belmont Park’s main dirt track, according to a BloodHorse report. Stay Thirsty was timed in 1:01.75 breezing, while Uncle Mo was clocked in :59.44.
Stay Thirsty is being pointed to the Oct. 1 Jockey Club Gold Cup at Belmont. Uncle Mo, who made a return to the races with a runner-up finish in the Aug. 27 King’s Bishop Stakes, had been away four months due to a liver ailment.
