Toby's Corner, Royal Currier seek to rebound in Donald Levine Memorial
Toby's Corner and Royal Currier headline a field of eight older horses in the Donald Levine Memorial Handicap to be run June 23 at Parx, reports the Blood-Horse. Both horses are entering the race off of eighth place finishes in graded stakes company.
The race will be the third start of the year for Toby's Corner who upset Uncle Mo in the 2011 Wood Memorial before being sidelined with an injury. He will carry 120 pounds in the 7 furlong event. Royal Currier won the Diablo Stakes at Belmont prior to his poor showing in the True North, also run at Belmont Park. Royal Currier is the morning line favorite and will carry 121 pounds in June 23 race.
