Access To Pharoah Halted After Crowds Become A Disturbance At Churchill
According to the Louisville Courier-Journal, access to Bob Baffert's Churchill Downs barn, which houses Triple Crown winner American Pharoah, has been halted after crowds of people eager to see the colt became a disturbance to the workings of the stable.
The article gives one example of the recent media frenzy: a bus, claiming to be carrying media members to see the Triple Crown winner, was turned away early Thursday morning after no such credentials were found. Only those with licenses or signed through security and accompanied someone who is licensed are allowed in the backstretch area.
Baffert and assistant trainer Jimmy Barnes have been generous with their access to American Pharoah. There have only been a handful of other famous racehorses who have been this accessible to the public, Horse of the Year Zenyatta and 2009 Kentucky Derby winner Mine That Bird being two of them.

The public will get a chance to see American Pharoah on Saturday night, when he parades between races on the Stephen Foster Handicap card at Churchill Downs.
