Tracks Preparing To Host Belmont Stakes Parties

A variety of tracks will host viewing parties for this Saturday's Belmont Stakes and American Pharoah's quest for the Triple Crown, including Laurel and Pimlico in Maryland and Keeneland in Kentucky.

The Maryland Jockey Club will host Belmont Day events at Laurel and Pimlico beginning at 10:45 a.m. ET. According to MJC media, American Pharoah t-shirts will be given to the first 2,200 fans at Pimlico and the first 1,800 fans at Laurel with paid admission. A special Triple Crown buffet will also be available at both tracks for $35 a person.

In a release, Keeneland announced that their Belmont party would include free parking and admission, drawings, and souvenirs. Gates open at 9 a.m. ET, while the mutuel betting windows open at 11:05. Keeneland will simulcast the entire Belmont card on its infield video board and televisions throughout the track.

The Belmont card features nine graded stakes races, six of which are Grade 1 events. Post time for the Belmont Stakes will be approximately 6:50 p.m. ET.
